Thoughts on Skip Beat Drama (Taiwanese)

So, I’ve watched 3 episodes of Skip Beat Taiwanese drama… ME, who are not fond of anime/manga LIVE action adaption was tempted to watch the Skip beat Live Action Taiwanese adaption because of

1) It’s SKIP BEAT
2) Curiosity got the best of me

Honestly speaking here, when I heard the animanga will be adapted into live action I was nonchalant about it. I’ve seen some gif of where the Taiwanese’s Shou encountered Taiwanese’ Ren … well I do watch that gif for about 2 minutes or so cause they pick up a good looking actors.. ahaha!

Anyway, when I watched the drama (thank you for the link Lija-chan ) , episode 1 intro was making me laughed! The actress whom acted as Kyoko managed to grasp Kyoko’s personalities and characteristic … well slightly. It was fun really… but then I started to questioning the plot.

Yes, the plot was not really 100% as the manga, which I perfectly understand and I can comprehend with it. When Sho appeared, I was slightly getting back into watching it and I must say, the actor knows how to be annoying as hell!! Annoying as the original Sho… Nope! EVEN MORE ANNOYING THAN SHO HIMSELF! I was…impressed! He played it out well! Well, afterward I find myself watching it with too many inquiries about the plot inside of my head, again. I do not fond of the way Kyoko went to every stores buying strawberries related things and the pudding… I know Kyoko will do anything to make Sho’s happy, but somehow I prefer the manga plot where Kyoko already bought the pudding!!
and Yes, I am not fond of the added scene of how Sho eats his pudding/jelly whatever it is!

I know it’s the first episode, everyone tends to be awkward… especially Sho’s manager.. the scene where Sho tells the manager that she is more of his type and Kyoko was kinda overheard it, it was pretty much awkward to me. But yeah, I can’t feel much of intensity when Kyoko laughs evilly. The part where her pandora box was open due to anger! To be honest here, I was pretty disappointed.

Episode 2 and 3 didn’t won me over either! There’s too many things I just can’t accept! First of all, Yashiro san! YES !! The adorable Yashiro san! I mean the actor they picked quite cute and good too but I can’t sense any Yashiro’s aura from him. Don’t get me started with Ren! He was a far more arrogant than the actual Ren. I don’t like how he trying his best to act out like Ren… I mean, the stressed showed on his face. It looks fake , imo! I am not criticizing his acting… it’s just my opinion. Although, there’s some part he acted pretty well. I guess, the part where he tried to be cool is not really there… yet!
and yes.. I don’t like the added plot about that son of the person who asked for his autograph has been ill and plot here. I am not moved! I wonder if I probably a cold person…. tho’ things like that usually get me to tears.. but surprisingly, I am not moved!

The president?!!! His extravagant entrance was there, yes! but the president himself is not! If the person stop trying to to be cool all the way, probably he can manage.. I mean, the president expression is not cool alone! He has that childish sulking expression. That cheery smile expression. There’s a lot. If the actor can throws his pride away and acted how the LME president acted, it will be cool! I truly believes so.
About Maria… I am not expecting much for a child actor, so how Maria’s actress act is what I, at the very least, expected!

Yes, if you read you understand how am I not satisfied with the drama adaption. I pretty much dissatisfied with the plot. The added plot were not into my liking. I don’t really mind tho if the original plot was twisted for the adaption, but I just can’t accept the added scene in it. Like that scene where Kyoko practically brought her things and camped out in front of the apartment. Exaggerated to the point that is not funny, to me…

Edit : For the animation of Kyoko’s evilish inner self… it was very much, disappointing. I personally disliking them! it was more angelic than evil to me! Plus, the evil expression on those animated self is not there! It looks like a pure anger to me…

I am not telling everyone that this Taiwanese Adaption suck so you should not watch it . NO! for a moment there, I enjoyed watching it. Truth! It’s still worth the watch. But if you are like me, trying to find perfection for the adaption then yes, you might find this less appealing. However, it’s not really that bad. If you wanna give it a try, go on ahead. It at least makes you laugh. Furthermore, it’s only 3 episodes that I’d watched (I doubt I want to continue tho) so this rant is not really that legit to follow. It basically just my opinion!
I like how Sho’s actors acted tho’ . He was something!

This will be a very short, incoherent post!

When I click on the link to this Chinese animation (so the title said) I admit… it was because of that BL at the end of the title..

I meant.. I am truly a hardcore fujoshi.. so yeah… I just can’t let BL/YAOI be…

I scrolled and read the comments, they were all positive (while waiting the video to load). So I click play and….. I was speechless!! THIS?!! CHINESE ANIMATION!!?? THIS WILL NOT BE A PHONY I HOPE!!!

I hope the anime will have this quality for real! if not… I don’t know… maybe will be zetsubou for a long time since the trailer is this awesome… and again…if it’s real. I hope it is…

This is the 2nd BL anime I’m looking forward to this 2011 .. a new BL anime I meant.. (Sex Pistol ova 2 is obviously on my waiting list) Number one is 世界一初恋 ~~ Hope these two anime will make me believe in a good animation again… cause Togainu no Chi was so horrible I don’t even….

after God knows how long I have neglected the manga~ (and hey.. I did the right thing!!)

I checked back my MAL and I stopped at chapter 264… and seeing how bored I was today, I think it’s better for me to catch up with the manga and get all those excitement I need.

I must say, I was really into the chapters despite of the ridiculousness the plot gets! I mean like… what the hell?? with those transformation they get and the parallel world , plu-plus that absurdness of Byakuran! 8D
Still, I find myself squealing and getting the goosebumps. Amano sensei, you’re pretty good to make such an absurd plot fun to read. Maybe some of you disagreeing with me, but when I think back the earliness of KHR manga until that Varia arch, I must say… the plot is getting more exaggerating…well, that is Shounen manga for you! The action is all that matters! (LOL, not really tho’)

Anyway, my fav. part is where Mukuro and Fran throwing sarcasm at each other. XD it truly making up the lack of Bel/Fran there! xD I’m so in love with Fran! seriously!! aww… to think I will be missing him was never in my plan! If he can call Bel a Master on his bed, I truly will be a happy fangirl! LOL *shotself*
I am not sure if it was mentioned on the previous chapter, maybe there is, but I am quite forgetful these days.. I was kinda WHA-WHAT?! when I learned that Mukuro is Fran’s master xD haha~
and when Mukuro called him ‘My little one’ I was kinda squea…. a bit..
Still i want my Bel/FRAN xDD

… I was a bit disappointed cause Hibari didn’t get into action in the final battle.. MORE disappointed when he didn’t whine about it! xD LOL.. but the glared he gave to Mukuro sure is refreshing!! and the intensity of the battle between Byakuran and Tsuna makes Hibari face…somewhat concern over his boss… muahahah! it maybe just me, but hell.. I am simple person, even a lil hint, I am satisfied! xD Especially a small hint of 8059 makes me squeal ~~ KYAAAA~~ xD lol Unni/Gamma … I seriously am not fond of this pairing! so forgive me! But i do feel sad when Gamma died… =( When the future arch was over I almost scream in depression cause TYL!TSUNA!! why did Amano-san make him so mysterious?? LOL I so wanna see his mature face. I bet he is getting more cooler like when he is in hyper mode~ x3

So the new arch is the inheritance arch…
This is where I have known what Enma is truly like, after seeing so many post about him, and there’s also fangirls who shipping him with Tsuna.. Not that I against it, but I like them being friends only //is biased cause she is forever 1827 DIE-HARD-FAN! xD
However, I can’t lie… I like him. Seeing him so gloomy is kinda make him more appealing! I don’t know why I have this things for gloomy-cool-looking guy. xD
But then… when I saw Aoba Koyo… I was like NO WAY!! A cool guy is admitting that he is idiot is SUPER COOL! ~~ So I think he will be my second fav. Shimon family.. 1st of course, Enma.

AND DAMN GOKUDERA IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE ADORABLE AFTER THE FUTURE ARCH!! WHAT’S WITH THE U.M.A???!!!!

When Gokudera is getting into his UFO-Alien thingie, he is so adorable xD But there’s no way I’m gonna ship him with shittopi-chan!! Nor do I ship any of them with Shimon Family!!! (>_<) But I might consider Ryouhei/Aoba … NO.. No!!! xDD
But when Aoba and Ryouhei do the ‘ALRIGHT’ pose and then when they realised it they kinda back to their rival mode… it kinda reminds me of Slam Dunk.. when Rukawa and Hanamichi kinda High5 with each other.. xD hahaha~~
oh well…

Anyway… the latest chapter 292 has left me in despair! Why do I predict the letter will not reach Tsuna! I so want them to be friends. i just hope sensei didn’t make this into another complicated battle!! (>_<)
PLEASE SENSEI!! Don’t make this into another long battle… oTL. I still haven’t gotten over the Future Arch battle! it’s tiring !!! LOL xD

[Review/Rant] Vagabond

Vagabond. A manga that makes my adoration to my beloved mangaka, Takehiko Inoue, trebled.

Striving for enlightenment by way of the sword, Miyamoto Musashi is prepared to cut down anyone who stands in his way. Vagabond is an action-packed portrayal of the life and times of the quintessential warrior-philosopher—one of the most celebrated samurai of all time!

Vagabond portrays a fictionalized account of Miyamoto Musashi’s life, on a loose adaptation of Eiji Yoshikawa’s novel “Musashi”.

That’s the short summary about this amazing manga.

At first, when I started reading this manga …around four days ago? I was kinda questioning myself whether I’ll be able to follow it. The gore contents was kinda overwhelming me and I feel that I can’t take it anymore. However, since it’s from Inoue sensei, and I was curious about this manga for a long time now, since I read the article from my local manga magazine that implied Vagabond is a work of genius from sensei. So despite it all, I continued reading it… and, without myself noticed it, I found I’m already at chapter 20 and from then on, I can’t seems to stop myself from wanting to read more!

It’s very different from Sensei’s previous work, that more focused to basketball and school life kinda genre.Although, I only have read sensei’s Slam Dunk and Real, but still, reading Vagabond… it makes you just idolized him more. Frankly speaking, I’m not into Seinen cause I know that the genre will have a mature content in it, which I not really despised, but I just can’t tolerate it and to be honest, I was starting to read this manga without knowing it has ‘seinen’ genre in it…and added “mature” at that too. That’s why, at first I was kinda shocked to see a mature content in it. However, I still like this manga because of the awesomeness just killed any disturbing thought I’m having when seeing the ‘M’ content or any nudity panel. It just gives me the feeling of seeing a nature of art, totally different from any seinen manga I’ve encountered so far.

The characters that Inoue sensei created , somehow, he had bring each one of them to life. Instead of reading manga, you feel like you’ve witnesses a real life drama action. It fills you with every kind of emotions; sadness, hatred, anger, joy. You can’t help but shows that kind of emotion on your facial expression when you read this manga. Trust me. you will!

My favorite character in Vagabond, I shall say the main protagonist; Miyamoto Musashi aka Takezo. He is a very fine young man even though his desires to become strong and invincible make him look like he was some kind of a demon/beast. Seeing this character went to his journey, challenging every strong swordsmen in history, and slowly seeing how he evolves to be a great samurai, I must say, it was a very joyful moment for me.

Musashi VS Inshun is my most favorite battle of Musashi. Here, he was very naive. Believing he was already strong enough to challenge the head of Hozoin; he marches there without giving a second thought. It’s kinda sad seeing him run away from the fight when he fought with Inshun for the first time, and seeing Jotaro, his disciple leave him, i feel sorry for Musashi. Still, Musashi didn’t wanna back down from the fight. He know he had humiliated himself but he just wanna be strong and willing to learn from his mistake by asking In’ei for a training. At this point, I can’t help but thinking,he is an admirable person! The second time he fought with Inshun, he won and he had left me overjoyed by his victory. He grown again. Musashi…he had face many battle, but I wonder why during his fight with Inshun that I found very… inspiring.

Sasaki Kojiro is my second favorite character in this manga. He’s a very talented swordsman, I must say, a prodigy? He’s deaf, but that is, I think the advantage he has to become one with his sword, so Kuon said. He has more time to listen to his body. His caretaker, Jisai’s past managed to make me shed a tears. Where he found Kojiro almost drown in the sea, he took care of him as his own son and that one time where he left him in front of one of he villager home (the one he become acquaintance with) and then he come back crying and asked them to give him back Kojiro… tears keeps flowing from my eyes. It’s such a sad moment. When kojiro grown up, his interest in sword becomes much more stronger. Jisai , he is unwilling to teach Kojiro the way of sword cause of this one incident, but battling with him every single day proves that he silently teaching him. Deep down, Jisai just feels lonely. If Kojiro goes travelling to sharpen his swordsmanship, he, again will be left alone and this happens when Itou Ittousai came to visit him and take Kojira away on a journey. Jisai… is a very good man…is what I truly felt in the end… However, only one thing that I dislike about Kojiro, that is his habit of sleeping around with woman…. orz.

The character I despised here is Matahachi! I hated him so much I don’t remember his full name… OTL. He was a 17 years old boy who went to the battlefield with his childhood friend, Takezo, trying to make a name of himself. But sadly, he was drown in his lust and he left Takezo alone fighting with the bandit, while he, behind the bushes, satisfying his body lust with the woman who took care of them while they were injured after the war. It makes my blood boil!! and to think Takezo had to bear the villagers curses him as a demon, and his mom blaming Takezo for leaving him behind…it’s so nerve-wrecking I feel like I could just kill him! When he saw Takezo alive, he was determined to change himself… but he only knows how to talk. Lying his own way to live through the days, he is a disgrace to all mankind. Though, it’s surprising when I learned that at the later chapter, he was the old man that telling a story about Musashi and Kojiro… I hate him, but seeing that old face nothing like him at all, I began to cool down a bit. But still HATE MATAHACHI! I too hate his mother, but when she died I thought I feel happy about it… and I was wrong. I feel sad instead and her past managed to make my hatred towards her vanish.

In four days ..more or less, I completed all the 290 chapters. It’s getting interesting by every chapter and now, I can’t wait for chapter 291 to get scanlated. If this manga available in my local store, I definitely buy it. It’s worth it!

My rant isn’t that convincing how awesome this Vagabond is, I know that. But if you read this and curious about this manga, go on ahead, go read it! You’ll never regret it!

BLCD – Kotonoha No Hana rant [SPOILER ALERT]

Thanks to my dear friend, Ysh-chan for recommending this blcd, entitled Kotonoha no Hana 【言ノ葉ノ花】original author/work Sunahara Touko, to me. Furthermore, I was kinda…really, badly in need of a new drama CD to listen to, so her recs really saves me from searching for a new blcd. The seiyuu, of course, her favorites; Ono Daisuke x Hiroshi Kamiya. To be honest, this is my first time listening to OnoD/HiroC as a pair in ‘BLCD’. Yes note that ‘BLCD’ and as a ‘PAIR’.
This drama CD is unique than other CD Drama I have listened before. The plot is about a man, name Yomura Kazuaki whom miraculously be able to listen to people’s heart/mind 3 years ago. The next day after he proposed to his lover, he was able to listen to his lover’s thought thus the incident made him to distrust others. I won’t blame him for this, cause if I were in his shoes, I probably will do the same. This resulting him to quit his job and work in, if I’m not mistaken, a computer store as a promoter.
This is where he met his other half…or soon to be; (=P) Hasebe Shuichi(?) I’m not really sure, cause sometimes I heard HiroC called him Hasabe Shoichi. Since he can read the person mind, he immediately knows that Hasebe love him, though at first he was in denial. Maybe he heard him wrong. Thus he using another method to reconfirmed it, and he knows he is not wrong and things started to blooms from there. Congratulation Yomura! LOL
Anyway, due to the incident where Yomura listening to Kana’s, Hasebe’s sister, boyfriend’s thought about how he really didn’t care about Kana, he just wants the money and he already have a wife and kids, (in another word, a Marriage Swindle) and he confronted them, thus he spilled everything to Hasebe when he come to have a word with him.
This where the angst starts. Well, most people won’t believe anything like that, even Me,Myself and I will take that as a joke. Things happens, and Yomura finally decided to resign and went somewhere far, where he can’t read other people’s ugly thought.
I really love this scene where he and Hasebe exchanging text (SMS). It was so beautiful eventhough the texts aren’t (it full of angst ~ A LOVE angst~). guess what?! Yes, Hasebe’s there, ready to pick his soon to be lover back…and they reconcile…. (feels like I’m telling a story to a kid instead) LoL and that ended CD1~ So basically, CD 1 story is about how Yomura life is and how he encounter with Hasebe and gain his happiness…. Not really!~ CD2 will conclude about his life.
In CD2, he no longer can look through people’s mind (after he having a ‘ero’ moment with Hasebe.) it’s quite funny cause he started to be able to listen to people’s thought after he proposed to his lover (and if I’m not mistaken, after making love too) and then 3 years later, after having the same activity with his newfound love, his ability to look through it was vanish.
He was quite ecstatic about it! He finally can live like a normal people. Where human’s thoughts no longer haunting him. His cheerfulness made everyone around him feels that he is a new person than yesterday. It was quite beautiful scene to me. I can’t really hold back my smile when I listened to his joyful voice more like HiroC’s.
In every story-plot, it wouldn’t be fun if you didn’t have the conflicts or much preferable, the angst in it. Yes, his happiness is just for a few weeks, and the his heart was full of anxiety and doubt cause he no longer can listen to people’s thought around him. Even more, his lover.
He felt dejected and more anxiety when he saw Hasebe with a new employee (a woman) from their store inside a restaurant. He offered to wait for him earlier but gets rejected and there his lover is, with a woman. Once again, he feel that he wants he gift back. It’s quite sad here, cause Yomura was really depressed about his life and then added where he can’t perform his job well cause he was clueless about his customer needs, decreasing his self-confidence. Moreover, OnoD here…I mean Hasebe is really an awkward person, so he didn’t really shows much of emotion on his face and words too. When he stops saying “Suki” to Yomura, it made him feel like Hasebe’s feeling for him change and maybe…just maybe… Hasebe has a feeling for the new employee. It just makes you scream in delight! or is it just me? cause I love it like this~ Uke that not feeling any anxiety and pushy is not CUTE xD LOL wth? o.O
I love the scene or situation where Yomura went to the restroom and saw Hasebe with the new employee (forgive me for forgetting her name) chit chatting happily. It torn his heart, really I can feel it just by listening to his voice (HiroC YOU! YOU Awesome angst VOICE YOU!) When he excuses himself with his angry, but got to control yourself voice, it makes my heart squeals (am I a M?). This is where Hasebe ran after him and being an oblivious person he is, he asked him to go eat dinner (if I remember it correctly) until he get a cold answer in return.
YES! xD This is where all started to reveal!~ Jealous Yomura is truly love ~~ Though sometimes I feel like Hasebe’s feeling isn’t really conveyed enough.. maybe because he is an awkward person so OnoD has to control his voice to fit his image…. but then, it all ends well. Still the lack-ness of OnoD’s feeling for HiroC’s truly bothers me DX…er..I meant Hasebe and Yomura.
Aside from the plot, I really fond of the BGM. It’s so nice… it feels so real! I really can imagine the situation and the environment. This added bonus points to this Drama CD~ *is specially fond of the train’s sounds*

EDIT: I forgot to add this, my personal opinion about this Drama CD. I feel like the ability to be able to listen through one mind was given to Yomura to help him find his true love. This idiotic thinking came up to me when I was re-listening to the second drama CD. First, he proposed to this woman, thus this ability appears. It revealed that the woman that he was ready to spend the rest of his life with is not feeling the same as he is. Then, when he met Hasebe this special ability of his just vanish. Doesn’t it feel like it just not coincidence but a fate instead. He was given a second chance to not ruin his life by spending them with a person that just doesn’t love him. Forgive this self-rambling of mine. i really need to let this out… cause I one who loves to dig deep into a plot and end up being silly~ xD hahahaha~~

Well… I feel like I’m more to narrating than ranting! LOL xD anyway….. yes, this BLCD is really good to listen to, so don’t hold back!! ~
