Manga rant, Lovely Complex and Seishun Survival
I’ve been reading like herm… a couple of shoujo manga scanlation (uwaa… I missed reading shoujo)
Seems like there’s still that shoujo manga plot where I respected and love so much has been scanlated. i was so damn happy!!!! Because, now in days, I can only find smut in shoujo manga, which I’m not fond of. Yes, I’m that fond of the old school innocent love/romance plot.
So i decided to give Lovely Complex a Go!~
It’s awkward to see a tall girl going out with a short boy, and it’s not uncommon thing actually.. it just.. it hard to see one in real life. =D As for in the manga, you wish to see something that you wish to see… a romantic scene, the boy was taller than the girl and the common shoujo plot..blah blah blah… (LOL) However, as i read LC manga, I didn’t find anything that makes them look odd.. in fact, they suited each other.
To be honest, I never expected Otani and Kotani to be together when reading volume 1 of the manga. It seems impossible for them to like each other, so i don’t see them as a well match couple too.
But seeing how the story progressing, my ealrier thought was defeated.
I was amazed on how Kotani Risa can work so hard just to win Otani Atsushi heart. I respected that. I never once done that… heck, I never even have someone that I like to make me go head over heels for them (which is kinda sad, cause I didn’t experience teenage love) See on how much she want to be with Otani touched me a little and when the shorter boy said that he can’t see Kotani as a girlfriend, I kinda…cried along with Kotani *blush*. When she said she wanna give up but then she can’t seem to do so, makes me envious a bit. If I am Otani and seeing how much the taller girl loves me… I would eventually fall for her too. After a few thinking and seeing how much we compatible for each other….i definitely accepted Kotani. So,was what otani did…. =3
When I think it back in rational thinking, I don’t think this type of love ever existed, if it does, it only happens to those lucky couple. Well… that’s why they called it shoujo manga.. XD hahaha!!!
When reaching the ending of the manga, I was so sad. Uwaa… i even shed a tears when they had graduated from school. See you soon, so they said… aww….. Well, this is a good point when ending a manga. You ended it where it was in a happy situation and then it automatically brainwashed you in thinking… they will live happily ever after, they will eventually get married and have kids and grandchild and you will be satisfied with it. Moreover, seeing how compatible they were with each other, straighten your beliefs 8D
haha xD Afterward, I watch the anime.. though there’s too many scene that has been cut from the original manga, it’s still worth to watch x3
After reading this manga, I tried my best to search other wonderful manga, until I saw Motomi sensei manga has been fully scanlated by ochibichan scanlation group, SEISHUN SURVIVAL!!! xD I was waiting for that manga to be fully scanlated before decided to DL it!~ If only I knew it was a collection of oneshot, I will just DL it regardless of the scanlation status…*facepalm* but still.. am happy to read all the one shot.

The first oneshot… (Youth Survival) well, it started out in campign but somehow, before the camping started… it tells you story of how the relationship goes along them in school too. So it isn’t awkward to read when at the end they confess with each other. Plus, how the comedy inserted casually is just amazing.
The second oneshot is my most favorite (Liar Love Letter). The first page, it tells a break up scene and the main character, Ritsu meet some weird boy writing a love letter on the roof top. On to the next pages, it was the boyfriend who previously texting the girl to break up with him is telling his friend on how dumb his girlfriend were and the ex boyfriend ask his friend to toy with his ex girlfriend and if they win her heart he will give them 30 000 yen. Isn;t that just plain cruel? Well, luckily, the girl listened through their conversation… So the next day, all this ex boy’s friend went their way out to win over Ritsu. xD but the boy who she met on the roof top win her over using other method that somehow caught her heart… well, after playing a trick on him at first. It was ended bautifully again…. my heart fluttering when read this oneshot. Lovely lovely oneshot x3
The third one is a ninja plot. (Sword and Heart: Dangerous Relationship). Well, this plot is kinda common. Y’know, ninja still existed but it was kinda hidden from the world knowledge. The girl, Shizuru once had a crush on her ninja senpai and she still in love with him. One day when someone from the ninja org. come to her house, telling her and her brother that they were this secret scroll that had been kept by their father and mother, who that time, went somewhere….. I forgot where, is being targeted by another ninja family. She suspected that guy was her first love. Then..the story progressing………… can’t tell, if I spoil you will know immediately on how the story will ended. So No telling xD but it’s good one shot.
and the last one shot is from OTOKOMAE!! Beads Club manga, it’s a side story. xD I already owned this manga, so I will definitely by Seishun Survival when it’s out in the market x3
Okay that ended my rant on this two manga xD I read Dangeki Daisy from Motomi Sensei too… but then.. that’s another story.. LOL it’s a good shoujo manga, and still ongoing both the scanlation and the manga. I wanna read the continuation so damn badly >.< hahaha xD
