[Review/Rant] Peacemaker Kurogane TV Drama episode 1&2
First of all, I wanna thank you Roro-chan@LJ for pimping PMK Live action on her journal and kindly leads me to the community that provides the Download for the raw version.
Honestly, I am quite ecstatic when I learned that the animanga PEACEMAKER KUROGANE has been adapted to Live Drama.. The anticipation to watch it was overwhelming, tho’ last night I’m quite busy and well….MU at night HATES me! xD lol
Today, since it’s Friday (TGIF!!) I have no tutoring… so, I DL it~ uwaa…waku waku shimasu ne….is what i thought when I watch the download kbps movement..well…kinda. and I finished watching the 2 episode so I’m gonna start my rant!
EPISODE 1
Well… my friend, unsugared told me last night that the rating for the 1st episode was low. But since I haven’t watch it yet, I didn’t have much to say to that rating…and now, I know why the rating was low…
SERIOUSLY!! If they gonna adapt something from anime… (that got awesome special effects, insert song/music, characters personalities) they should do better! For example the intro!
YES THE DAMN INTRO!

WHAT IS THIS LAME INTRO???!!!!
The intro was B.O.R.I.N.G!! I feel like I’m watching a kiddy play shinsengumi instead!
and WHAT THE HELL WITH THE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS IN IT??!! WHAT THE HELL????
Their expression was so Fake! FAKE!!!! SERIOUSLY!! Let me spell it for you!
Me :F.A.K.E! so how was it pronounce, Shuichi?
Shuichi : FAKE SENSEI!!
Me : Good! *coughcough* okay… thank you for your corporation Shuichi. I might need you again, so don’t go home yet.

Now back to reality.
I know that if they tend to adapted animanga into live action drama, they won’t be 100% of adaption on the story. The same goes with manga that got adapted to anime.
I know that! I really didn’t aspect much of the story will be like the animanga but, PLEASE! PLEASE Do them seriously. The LAME intro is the prove of their nonchalant-attitude. Who go and say ” CUT! IT’S a WRAP?!” to those actors?I wonder…really!!
Well, that’s about the Intro.
Yamanami appeared in first episode?! o.O I was yet again, shocked! What? Is this the introduction to all Shinsengumi members? Even Heisuke in it. (I think so) well, he always around Sanosuke and Shinpachi, so i bet he is Heisuke… (I forgot if they said his name at the earlier episode since I was kinda drown in a pool of my tears of disappointment?)
Why the hell the Oni Fukuchou isn’t like Oni at all?? His HAIR SHOULD BE LONG! LONG!! Damn it! Even an inexperience cosplayer did well on the make-up thingie..Geez!
Yoshida!! YES YOSHIDA!! WHY????? he doesn’t look psycho at all (he is kinda like a maniac) LOL Instead, he is CUTE?!! WHAT??!!
Ayane is truly out of character in the first episode here…. I think.
The SCENE where there a house on fire! SERIOUSLY!! One of the supporting chara LAUGH???!!!! or did I see it wrong?? but he did LAUGH! OMG! WTH???!!
The only scene I love in episode 1 is the end scene where Tetsu and Okita starts to waves their blades towards each other (I mean, the wooden sword)
EPISODE 2
The first scene is the continuation of the fighting scene of Okita and Tetsu. I can see that the actor of Okita finally get the hang of Okita’s characters until Hijikata came interrupting them. WHY HE GOES CHICKENING ? I mean, he is, in the anime, his characters is one that close to Hijikata and never afraid of Hijikata. Tho’ he is surprised when Hijikata came into the scene in the anime where he seriously fought with tetsu and throws him out of the dojo. That kinda surprise is acceptable, not this chickening looks! orz (MY OKITA IMAGE!! buuhuuuu )
“Because you were more smaller than Shinpachi I can’t see you!” ->> Sano, you’re not taller as the anime, so that joke was kinda…..well…not appropriate. Even Shinpachi’s actor is almost tall as Sano. Seriously. They should change the line here… LOL
The scene where Okita said , “Are you even willing to be a ghost?” Why does the tone is nonchalant? He should say it with deep tone….at time like this, I appreciated Seiyuu more than the actors.. orz
anyway…Now we on to the characters
herm… I’m not a fan of Japanese actors, really! All the actors in this drama, I really don’t know who they are. again thankz to roro-chan for the actors list
CHARACTERS
Okita Souji – Yanagishita Tomo : I don’t know who he is. I’m not sure if I see him on other drama…. But then, that’s not the point. I don’t know if he did well in other drama, but in this PMK drama, I said… he fail in capturing Okita Souji’s true personality! SERIOUSLY!! Okita is one who is a bit playful and only serious when he held a katana or talking serious subject with Tetsu. I don’t see that in episode 1 and 2 yet. I hope maybe in the upcoming episode he can do much better. I changes my opinion of him when I see him in episode 2, you know, not be able to play Okita, and I seriously hope in episode 3 and so on, I can see him playing Okita without being awkward.
Hijikata Toushirou (ACTOR?) :I don’t know the actor. Well, i did mentioned his hair should be long. Why can Okita have long hair but not the Fukuchou? I bet he will be more serious looking if he has long hair. Plus, his character in this drama is kinda… not really the ONI type. A bit soft hearted. It showed in his facial expression too. I wanna see the ONI HIJIKATA!!!! DX
Kondou Isami (ACTOR?) : Same, dunno the actor. But he truly disappoints me at the intro. aaa…..but then not much to say cause he I think he captures Kondou personality well… a bit.
Shinpachi Nagakura (ACTOR?) : I WANT THE ANIME SHINPACHI!!! DX well..that aside, but he did quite well doing Shinpachi. So yup!~ Nothing much against this actor…whoever he is.
Sanosuke Harada – Izaki Yusuke : I sure dunno him too. But he did quite well as Sano. Tho’ they tend to be a bit overboard (I mean, him, Heisuke, and Shinpachi’s actors)
Susumu (ACTOR?) : Well, one thing I know for sure, he is a bishie and cute (I prefer the tough looking susumu in anime tho’ LOL) I still don’t know what to say about him Will wait till episode 3
Yoshida Toshimaro – Araki Hirofumi : HIS CUTE! OMG! LOL…. Like I said, he didn;t look like a psycho. LOL but at least he tried. I hope he does better on the next episode.
Ayane (ACTRESS?) : She is a bit different from Ayane….in the animanga. I feel like watching a different Ayane instead. At least, I can see other actors as the anime chara, but she…I can’t seems to see ayane in her. herm…
WELL… anyway… I think I rant long enough..LOL
After all said and done, I think it still worth to wait for episode 3. Since it’s just the beginning! They has room for improvement still. So yeah….
don’t take me seriously. Watch it yourself, they you’ll know if you like it or not… since everyone has their own preferences and all..
